Is SnugClear™ safe for newborns?
Yes. SnugClear™ is designed for use from birth. The smallest included silicone tip is sized for newborn nostrils, and the Level 1 suction setting is extremely gentle — equivalent to a soft medical-grade aspirator. Always insert the tip no more than 5mm into the nostril and avoid using more than 3–4 times per day per nostril. As with any nasal care product, consult your pediatrician if you have specific concerns.

The silicone tip and collection chamber detach with a simple twist and can be rinsed under running water for 10 seconds. For a deeper clean, the tip assembly is top-rack dishwasher safe. We recommend rinsing after every use and doing a full dishwasher or soap-water clean every 3–5 uses, or after each sick period. The main device body is IPX5 waterproof — you can wipe it with a damp cloth safely.

A single USB-C charge (approximately 2 hours to full) provides up to 30 days of daily use — that's roughly 200+ individual uses. The battery indicator on the LCD screen shows you current charge level so you're never caught off-guard. Absolutely — and we actually recommend it for stubborn or dried mucus. Add 1–2 drops of infant saline solution to each nostril, wait 30–60 seconds for it to loosen the mucus, then use SnugClear™. This combination is the most effective approach and is recommended by pediatricians for clearing heavy congestion. Saline drops are available at any pharmacy and are safe for newborns.
